March...In like a Lion out like a Lamb??

Well we had our Dr. appointment on Monday. A little discouraging as I thought they would choose to induce me either later this week; or next week. But it looks as if they like to wait until your at least 39 weeks to do anything. Which I understand, its just more days for Kara to develop (or get bigger). After talking to the Dr. we have decided to have an elective C-Section on March 27th. Weighing the Pro's & Con's; with Kara's size now and the fact is that she will most likely get bigger between now and then, the fact that Jenna's birth did require extra help from the Dr. and with Gestational Diabeties; they don't like to use outside forces to assist with the birth such as the forceps they used with Jenna; because of the size of the babies. The Dr.'s biggest concern was that I would feel robbed of having her "Natural" I guess some patients do feel so robbed they have to seek help afterwards to get over it. I informed him that I've been there and done that once before; and just cant' see why I would EVER want to do it again. So as things look now Kara's birthday is going to be March 27, 2006. Unless of course I happen to go into labor on my own between now and then.......(which of course wouldn't be so bad would it??????). We'll continue to go to our Dr. appointments twice a week and try our hardest to make the time fly by! (3 more Dr. Appointments before D day..and counting)
The good news is that Brian is off for the next two weeks due to shut down to help with the bedtime routine and the every day taking care of Jenna. I'm glad that we both get to spend the final weeks alone with our "original" baby girl. We've been trying to get her out and about during these weeks; her favorite activity is going to the mall and getting either a pretzel or cookies...But then again, when asked what she wants to do her first response is "Go to Papa & Grammys house" or "Go see Mamaw & Papaw". I try to convience her that that's not really "getitng out", sometimes it works; other times not so much.
