March 18th started like any other Saturday afternoon. Around six we called my parents to ask if they would watch Jenna and allow us to run to the grocery store and target for a few items. I figured that this week I wouldn't feel like shopping, so we shopped for two weeks of grocery items and then came home. All day I had been feeling a little yucky; but didn't think anything of it. After arriving home, and while putting Jenna to bed I began to have contractions. I just didn't realize that it was the real thing at that time. After walking around the house and trying to get comfortable for about an hour and a half. Brian decided that he should call the hospital and seek their advice as what to do. We called around 11:15pm and they said that I could come in and get checked. As I was 38 weeks on Saturday. By the time we got to the hospital (12:00am 3/19/2006) my contractions were getting stronger and were coming around every three minutes or so. I was checked by our Dr. and she said that she wanted to wait about a half in hour because she believed I was in true labor; as I was 3cms and fully effaced.
The contractions then started to come extremely heavy and every 2 minutes. Within that half an hour I was already at almost 4cms. The decisions was then made to have the c-section then. At 3:06am weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and measuring 20 inches long Kara Jean arrived.
