This is soon to be Kara Jean!!
Finding out I was pregnant again; was such a shock. I never dreamed when I took the home pregnancy test that it would be positive and that I would be almost nine weeks pregnant!! In July I had a cold; and just never seemed to kick it; I was so sleepy after work that I would nap with Jenna (if she napped). So one evening when Brian was going to the store for something; and I told him to pick up a test- (I had been meaning to pick one up for a couple of weeks; but then again..there was no way I was pregnant" So he did; when he got home I told him I was nervous to take the test; and he said "I don't think you are" and I said "Me neither". No sooner did I take the test was it positive. So I simply put the test on the sink and went downstairs. I thought it says three minutes thats what I'll give it. The line only got darker!! We 1st fought over the line. The "test" line was faint; but the positive line was DARK! Brian thought it was the other way around; and that the positive line was faint; and that it wasn't really positive; so I showed him the picture on the instructions; and he soon became a believer. So after debating I called my girlfriend and away to the store to pick up another test (2) we went. Sure enough both test showed positive. That was a Friday night; all weekend, I wondered and worried. Then on Monday went into my family dr. for a blood test; and they called back on Tuesday stating that I was between 6-16 weeks; so happy they narrowed that down for me. On Wednesday I went to my Ob and discovered that I was nine weeks and five days along for the 1st ultrasound and my due date would be April 1st (NO JOKE).
On November 3rd we went in for our second trimester ultrasound and learned that the baby that we had been calling deuce was a girl. Almost like it was magic; as we walked out of the hospital; I looked at Brian and said "Kara, I like Kara" and he said "Me too" and from that point- our new baby girl became Kara. We had been debating since the positive test on names; so to agree so quickly on one at such a wonderful moment; just added to our blessing!
We have recently completed work on Kara's room; so as soon as shes ready its ready for her! I post pictures later!!
